Lois Parsons Glasgow, Ph.D.
Psychology is a second career for Lois Glasgow. In her first career, she earned a BA in accounting from Grove City College and a masters degree in a finance-related field from Carnegie-Mellon University. She worked as a CPA for PriceWaterhouseCoopers and later as a corporate lending officer for a large national bank. Because of this background, she has been exposed to a wide variety of business situations. This serves her well as a consultant and a coach; she understands the unique challenges business people face because she has experienced them first-hand.
To start her second career, Lois completed both a MA and Ph.D. in psychology at Southern Methodist University. Since 1995, she has specialized in assessments, coaching, and leadership development. Prior to co-founding Carson Consulting, Lois spent nearly twelve years managing the coaching and executive assessment practice for a larger human resources consulting firm.
A licensed psychologist in the state of Texas, Lois is a member of the International Coaching Federation (ICF), American Psychological Association (APA), Division for Consulting Psychologists, and Society for Industrial/Organizational Psychologists (SIOP). She is also active in various local professional organizations. Her work has been published in Workforce Magazine and presented at the annual SIOP conference.
